{name:Kashmir#|#picture:3}Kashmir lifted her head looking at the cougar straight in the eye. He really did like keeping a conversation. Once he asked her if she knew the terrain...did it look like she knew it? Nah one second she was in Southern Brazil the next...wherever she was now with it almost snowing! Where the heck was she? She turned her head to look out towards the rain which was now calming down to wind and a few icy cold droplets. Nope. She quickly said happily. She got up and looked outside. It wasn't a storm anymore. But then cold air smacked her straight int the face and made her stumble. She regained her stance and stuck her head out and closed her eyes. She had never felt like this before. It was so cold...so different. She didn't mind a few drops of rain here and there..just when it got to the big banging and crashing..

{name:Mike#|#picture:11}Mike snorted. If she was going to be stupid and act happy about almost freezing to death, then that was HER prerogative, he supposed. He swished his tail in something similar to disgust and stretched back out on the floor of the cave for a moment before curling up. He wasn't ready to get up yet... he hadn't napped.
He'd always sort of liked winter, and the solitude that it brought, with most of the animals underground or hibernating somehow for the duration of the cold. True, it was harder to hunt, but considering that he was usually the biggest thing in a ten-mile radius unless he ran into a grizzly or something, he really didn't have as much trouble finding prey as smaller cats did.
Once again, he noted the interesting pattern on the cat's coat. Well, it was exotic.
She should go back where she came from. She could die out here.
But his pride refused to say the words...

{name:Kashmir#|#picture:3}She looked back at the lazy brute and chuckled. How silly this day was. She had acted like a complete fool and she was enjoying the fact. She bounded back towards the cave and heard the male snort. She could tell he was getting irritated by her. Ooh, what even better fun. She softly trotted over towards him and sat her but right infront of him and faced him. Her gold tinted amber eyes looked at him curiously. Blinking every few seconds. She cocked her head and grinned. Her back leg reached up towards her ear and scratched..something had jumped on her. Soon she felt the relief of the creature off her and took interest in the male again. Her tail softly swished back and forth on the ground and she bent her head into her shoulders, feeling the goose bumps rise across her spine. Her ears laid across her head as she heard the whistle of the cool air wind through her skull.
Funny how she could act so differently around cats. Around dogs she was queen she didn't take interest in them and just acted higher than them. But with cats, she wanted to know more about them. She loved making them fall for her or get annoyed by her. It just made her enjoy her life. And particularly this big brute she wanted to make him like her for some reason. She wanted to show off and she didn't know why. Maybe he intimidated her. Maybe she just thought he was attractive....HA.

{name:Mike#|#picture:11}Mike opened one eye slowly, but surely. "Are you going to go away and let me nap?" he asked, slowly, precisely. She did have very spectacular eyes, he admitted. But more than that...
She looked cold.
Something in his heart pulled a bit, but he ignored it and closed his eye again, rolling so he wasn't facing her. Obviously, this cat's survival instinct must be dysfunctional. He had to be at least two or three times bigger than she was... Surely she knew the risk of irritating a mountain lion?
Truthfully, she'd caught him at a bad time - naptime. It was that time where his brain was half-asleep and he just wanted to - yawn - nap.
He held still and curled up a little against the cool temperatures. He would have to get some moss or leaves or something on the floor in here - it was freezing.
She was still there. He could sense her behind him like a throbbing spot on his retina, only he wasn't facing her.
He snorted in derision, then curled tighter.

{name:Kashmir#|#picture:3}Kash closed her eyes softly trying to enjoy the breeze but it only made her shiver more and dig her head deaper into her chest. Her cold icy whiskers twitched and she went back over to the back of the cave. Obviously the male was not intended to do anything but sleep. So she might as well enjoy some quiet time..She ignored his remark and turned her but to him, showing she was better than him, well atleast she thought so. Her tail flilcked out in a snotty way and she settled down. Her paws crossed fashionably infront of her as her back legs and tail curled up to her belly.
She rested her head on her paws and let her tail swish over her nose making her sneeze. She blinked a couple of times before actually closing her eyes. She needed rest..she had been up for a long time without sleep. Sometimes she was afraid to go to sleep, wondering if she'd ever wake up and see daylight again. But now it just felt good. She shivered and tried curling into the stone wall as much as she could, trying to keep the little warmth and conserve it.
Her ears twitched, flicking in all directions hearing the wind gush into the cave. Listening to the male breath heavy breaths. Listening to the lifeless trees sway. She'd hope listening to her surroundings would help her relax..but a cold icy drop of water fell onto her nose. She leapt into the air, rubbing her nose with her paw trying to keep it warm. As soon as she was done getting the icy feeling off her now frozen nose she tried curling back up into a ball and hoping her tiredness would just take over and let her rest.
