Laying down on the hot, sun-beamed ground was relaxing after a long run through the grasslands. Extending his claws in and out and panting softly he rested his head on a nearby tree. His tail weaved in and out, curling to the tip of his butt and uncurling, softly brushing the ground. The golden eyes that were place right above his spotted muzzle softly closed, letting his lashes brush the top of his cheeks where his dimples rested. He licked his lips, making a soft clicking noise with his tongue.
He could run for hours and days..never stopping. It was like a good dream, running through the hot air, but having the grass brush against his belly. His leg muslces would grow stronger and stronger as he ran. And his small agile body made it easier to run. Even with his smaller paws, he could lift himself almost in the air when he ran. Like he was flying through the clouds. But only running through the tall-grass.

Raaja was lightly jogging through the boiling hot, bright sun. She was enjoying the wonderful feeling of the wind blowing in her face, and the sun warming up her fur. She loves running, but she isn't very fast. She likes to think of running more as a thing to do every once in a while, instead of everyday. That's what made her different from other felines. She was still running through the tall grasses, when she spotted a figure laying out under the sun. Oh goodie, another animal to play with. She loved to meet new animals. She continued running, and ran up to the other creature. It looked like a baby cheetah. Raaja layed down right next to this young-looking feline, and introduced herself. "Hi! I'm Raaja. What's your name? She was just so happy to have found another feline to hopefully talk to. It was a perfect, sunny day and for Raaja, finding another animal just made it ten times better.

Kai immediately jumped as the large cat bounded towards him. And she was talking to him? Introducing herself...like they were equal? He was a young cheetah, and she a full-grown tiger. He looked up at her with large eyes and cocked his head. He couldn't help but be curious..he was a cub after all.
Should he just leave her? He could probably easily outrun a full-grown tigress...but then she was being nice to him. He decided to try and respond, he usually didn't talk much. He was better at listening than talking. Uh..hi? He looked back at her...she was quite pretty. He looked at his paws, he was so scrawny compared to her. And instantly envy ran through him. How could a female be so broad? And a male..be so scrawny? I guess that was just how it was...he trotted back next to her and softly nipped her ear. It's...Kai

Raaja could tell the young cheetah probably didn't want to talk. She wasn't positive, but she really didn't think he did. Oh, thats a cool name. Sorry I just randomly popped in Raaja felt like a fool to just come out of no where and start a conversation. It's not an every day thing to have a tiger find a cheetah and want to play. I'll leave if you want me to. Raaja suddenly flinched when the young male nipped at her ear. She wasn't expecting it. Hmm, maybe he did want to play.
Raaja let out a small growl, indicating she wanted to play. She nipped at his tail and started running, to show him she wanted to be chased. She knew this young cheetah could outrun her anyday, but she was just doing it for fun. The sun was still shining so brightly, and now she had found someone to play with. Well, hopefully he would want to play.

Kai looked at her, Oh...no it's cool. And he let his front paws brace the ground, with his butt high in the air, and his tail wagging playfully back and forth. He bounded towards her, as she ran away from him...and then decided to jump and attack her rear-end. He playfully batted her thighs and held onto her. His eyes looked childish and cute, but his strength was getting stronger as a 9 month-old cub.
He let go and slid his small body under her stomach, bracing his paws into the dirt and pushed up. He probably just lifted up one of her ginormous paws...but atleast he was having fun! Then he crawled between her legs like lightning and sprinted to the tall grass to hide. When she'd come to find him..he'd be there...to surprise attack!

Raaja was having a great time. The little cheetah chasing after her, and nipped at her playfully. He just ran off from under her in the tall grasses. She watched carefully where he went, so she was atleast going in the right direction. She stepped silently threw the gass, barely possible to hear. She caught a whiff of the cub, and followed it. He is probably going to try to surprise me. What fun that would be! She crouched down low, making her way to where she smelt the cheetah. Where are you? She was kidding, she was almost positive of where he was. She was trying to trick him into thinking she didn't. She kept on walking ever so slowly through the "forest" of tall grasses. Any second now she would find Kai and surprise him by nipping at his tail. Well, thats atleast what she intended on doing. She got to the point where Kai's smell was the highest. She got down even lower, and she took one more huge sniff. This definitely had to be very close to where he was hiding.

As the large cat crept up on him his small cheetah-grin extended to his ears in a grinch-like way. His tail flicked a few times before noticing her creeping in on him. And then, before he even could tell that she was near him he pounced without looking and flew right over her and landed in dirt. He jumped up and dashed behind a large boulder.
He hoisted himself on top of it, and leapt, and this time landed on his target. The tigress. He giggled as he landed on her with a thud and then rolled off. He sprang back up laughing hysterically. I so got youuu! He was so proud of himself, almost as proud as a fat child with cake. He was pretty adorable. But he was a cub? He was naturally good at that. And even when he'd get older, that would be one of his strengths, being cute.

Raaja was still waiting to figure out where that little cheetah was. Then suddenly, she found him. He jumped onto her back and rolled off. Wow, you did get me. She let out a laugh. She was very impressed with the cub. Guess I have to work on my huting skills huh? Raaja starting trotting to a big open spot under the sun. She layed down, and started to pant. She was starting to get thirsty already. She tried remembering the last time she has gotten a drink of water. Hey, Kai, do you want to on an "adventure" to find water? I'm getting kind of thirsty. She hoped he would want to go. Going on a trip through the woods and fields would always be more fun if you had a friend to go with you and keep you company. She tried remembering the last pond she had been to and what direction it was in. She remembered, it was to the north, not so far from here. But she didn't need to tell him she knew where one was; That would ruin the adventure.

Kai looked up hopelessly, at Raaja and sighed, I guess the games over... And then he nodded at her, an adventure? That sounded kinda fun. He bounded towards the east, he had some sort of sense to go this way. The wind was blowing this way, and brushed the crackling leaves against his small paws. He flicked his tail, leaving a scent on where he had been. He had a strong male-scent as you'd call it. And it was very hard to resist.
Kai looked up at the sky as he trotted along the grassland's short grass. And then, he caught site of the movement. It was a herd of gazelle...his mouth watered, and he envied the larger cheetah's who could take down a full buck. He may be able to pull of a doe, and definitely a fawn.
He stopped, and lowered his body to the ground. Once he had sight of a small doe, he wouldn't loose concentration. As his tail softly brushed the ground, he slowly made his way closer to the herd. Inching his small body through the grass. Once he was close enough, he ran to a full speed, making the herd go wild and run in all different directions. He didn't loose site of the doe, and kept his eyes straight at her small jumping up and down body. He kicked the dirt behind him, and pushed himself closer to her, when she was in reach he leapt. Landing on her, and chomping down on her scrawny neck. She cried, and kicked at him, but he had her.
He had done it.

Raaja saw that the cub looked sort of sad the game was over, but she had to get some water. He nodded in reply that'd he like to go. As she got up to start walking, she noticed Kai didn't seem to look like he was going to follow her. She looked up, and she saw a huge herd of gazelle. Oh, great.. She had a feeling Kai would go after one, and that's exactly what he did. She wasn't going to stop him either; it's his instinct. She watched the cub stalk a doe and make his move. In the end, he had gotten her. She was amazed. Impressive work there Kai. She walked over to him and layed down. She was not hungry and even if she was, it was his kill to eat, not hers. She put her head down on the warm ground as she waited for Kai and whatever he was going to do. She shut her eyes and just let the wind blow in her face.

He grabbed it by it's neck, and when it twitched he would bite down harder, Finally he felt the body drooped, and it got heavier with no life in it. He struggled as he brought it over near Raaja. He wouldn't go too close to her..he didn't want to share. That was his instinct. As he was a few yards away from the tigress he settled down. He held the doe's leg with his front paws as he pushed it away with his back paws. Making the leg rip off. He grabbed it in his mouth and toyed with it. He licked the leg and picked at it, trying to get as much fur off as he could. And then he dug in. Once done with his leg that was now just bones and skin, he moved in to where the leg had been. He ripped it open with his teeth and his tail flew back and forth happily. He hadn't eaten this good since...well since forever.
