Name: Aurelie, though she’ll answer to Lia or Aurie.
Gender: Aurie is a female.
Age: Three or four years… maybe five. She’s a little vague on the details.
Pack/Pride: Doesn’t quite know yet, is new.
Species: Ocelot
Physical Description: Aurelie is small, even for an ocelot. However, she’s very in shape, with a reddish-brown coat dotted with spots or rosettes. However, most other animals really notice her eyes. They’re not an extraordinary color, but she has a way of staring you in the eye that doesn’t befit her size… or status as someone who is not yet settled in a clan.
Eye color: Amber
Main colors: Reddish-brown, tan
Secondary colors: Black, dark brown, white
Markings: black spots, black rosettes.
Personality Description: The only word anyone would ever use to refer to Aurie is sharp. She has an uncanny habit of noticing things about other animals, and over-analyzing anything and everything about a situation. She’s very quick, and extremely observant. She also tends to be very impatient with those that can’t keep up with her pace of thought, and has a sharp tongue. She tends to keep many of her thoughts to herself, however, and has a well-defined sense of irony. By the same token, she is somewhat condescending and demeaning. Overall, she isn’t an exclusive cat, having wandered much of her short life and learned to accept most creatures. She does tend to be wary of canines, except for the odd one or so. It’s not so defined as to be horribly detracting or ambivalent, but simply… wary. Of everyone. Also, she doesn’t like superlarge groups as a rule... AND she’s absolutely infuriating.
History of character: Aurie doesn’t really remember where she came from. She moved from place to place, even as a kit, and after when she grew enough to be on her own. Her untrusting, but somehow charismatic personality simultaneously repelled and attracted those she came into contact with, provoking more than one opponent. Over time, she learned to recognize things, signs of what a person thought or was going to do, which kept her alive. Recently, she underwent a traumatic experience where she was hunted by a pride of felines, who looked at her as a huge danger to their territory and cubs. She only narrowly escaped them, and is very, very, very scared of large groups of animals, as she knows how easy it is to sway the pride or pack mind to one idea or another.
Strengths: Intelligence, Speed, Observation, general knowledge of most things...
Weaknesses:Cockiness, size, strength, fear of large groups of animals, a talent for driving people crazy...
Likes: Trees, daylight, running, confusing others, driving other sentient beings absolutely insane with her silences, traveling...
Dislikes: Water, complete darkness, large groups of animals (more than three) in a pack or pride format, large open places, squirrels, saltwater...
Other: She’s absolutely terrified of forming lasting relationships.
Picture:
Role-play sample: Aurie paused, crouching in the foliage of her tree. Flicking the tip of her tail back and forth, the rest of her spotted and dotted body was silent, blending into the dappled shadows. Her eyes slightly narrowed, she took in the clearing. It was too hot for most of the larger prey to be stirring about, though she saw signs of a possible rabbit warren near her tree, her amber eyes following the tell-tale signs of a warren. Her stomach almost began complaining with hunger before she forced it to be silent, harshly. Blinking her wide amber eyes, she settled down into a slightly different crouch, a hunting crouch, and unsheathed her claws into the bark. She licked her lips, once, waiting for the rabbit to show.
She didn't have long to wait.
They were so /stupid/, those rabbits. You hardly had to wait a minute for them. As the rabbit hopped a bit closer, then closer, her muscles bunched together, and she trembled with the waiting. Finally, the rabbit twitched its short tail and hopped close.
/That's enough,/ she thought, then leapt…
