MIKE THE GRUMPY PUMA

Species: Mountain Lion (Or Puma, or Cougar, or Panther, or Mountain Cat.. WHATEVER. I shall use most of these names interchangeably.)
Physical Description: Mike is rather large, with HUGE paws. His coat leans toward the silver-grey-yet-gold spectrum of cougar coloring, with darker black accents around the muzzle and eyes. Other than that, he has no marks on his coat. His eyes are a light green - a mix of peridot and dark green.
Eye color: Green
Main colors: Tawny silver-grey
Secondary colors: Dark Brown/black
Markings: A few around his muzzle and eyes.
Personality Description: Mike can be described in one line - Mike the Grumpy Puma. Recently chased out of his territory farther south by a housing development, he's, at the moment, homeless and wandering. He does like being alone and tends to be snappy towards the "youngsters". He is silent, much of the time, and when people chatter he tends to stare at them balefully. A bit eccentric, he’s a butterfly expert, and used to collect butterfly wings. He plans on restarting his collection once he finds a cave to his liking…
History of character: He was born in the area, a little closer to the mountains. When he was old enough, he did the expected thing and established his own territory farther south. Since then he… grew up. He had a mate, for a while, but she was killed by a large bear about a year before. Since then, he has withdrawn from people, scowling at most things and laughing very little. When his territory was destroyed, he came back here, hoping that he would be let alone – he knew his mother and siblings had long since moved on. Since the territory was… kind of unclaimed, he decided that just a cave would suffice. After all… he didn’t have a family to raise.
Strengths: Strength, agility, speed, sheer power…
Weaknesses: Subtlety, patience, tolerance of stupidity…
Likes: Butterflies, water, daytime, trees, and EATING.
Dislikes: Nosy animals, chatterboxes, magpies, people that ridicule his butterfly wing collection, wide open spaces, and being tickled.
Other: Erm…He can be a rather nice puma once you get past the prickly hermit tendancies.
