Basic Rules

If these rules are not followed there will be punishments.

IC Rules:

Posting: There is a minimum of 150 words per IC post. Each player must post in turns. So don't double post. If you must post something you forgot, edit your last post and put an EDIT: (whatever you left out or want to change)

Ex. Bob posts first. Then Jill will post. Then Bob again. If Fred joins the thread the posting will go, Bob, Jill, Fred. And so on and so forth.
This is not required to follow in that order if a person doesn't reply after two days.

Absolutely no Power Playing, God-moding or Meta gaming.

(Power-playing is when you make your character take control of someone else's character, including your own.) This is when you narrate for another character or control them in any way. You wouldn't want someone telling you what your character did, so don't do it to other people.

(God-modding is when you make your character invulnerable to everything. It's like...your character can basically do everything, for example it can resist disease, it can become invisible during a hunt, or it can avoid all attacks in a fight.) You wouldn't like it if someone dodged everything you threw at them, so don't do it to other people.

(Meta-gaming is when your character knows something about another character that they haven't been told while roleplaying. For example your character must tell another character it's name for the other chracter to know your chracter's name. If your character never tells the other character it's name, the other character will never know your character's name.

Never be in more than two threads with one character.


Breeding: No long or graphic breeding aloud. Force breeding is only allowed in your history. Not allowed to take place while roleplaying on this site. Staff will decide if the female becomes pregnant, how many pups she will have and everything about them. Ex. Their gender, health, appearance, ect.

Fighting: A fight can happen at any time any place, between any species and for any reason. When your character is in a fight he/she is NOT allowed to be in another thread at the same time. When fighting you must post in turns as well. No one else will be aloud to join in the thread. A fighting thread is only for those who are in the fight.
To start a fight you must fill out the application and it must be approved by me and the opponent. The minimum for each fight is 5 posts. There is no maximum. Each player gets one dodge per fight. Once a fight is over I will declare the winner asap. The winner will get whatever they had said in the application.

OOC Rules:
Follow the Rules in the Proboards Terms of Service. If you have not carefully read through the Proboards TOS, please do so now.

Be respectful and polite to everyone and anyone.
No swearing or saying anything rude, perverted, ect.

Abandoning or adopting a character: If you can't keep up with your characters or don't want to have them anymore, fill out an application in the 'Abandoning board'. Once you've dropped off your character that's it, you can't do anything else with it. You can't tell another how to play them or anything of the sort. Once you've given it up it no longer has anything to do with you.
When your characters have youngsters you have first pick of what to do with them. If neither of the parents claim them than they will go up for adoption.
If you want to adopt a character you must fill out an application in the 'Adopting board'. We go on a first come first serve basis, unless you are un-active, I will only give the character to an active player who has no warnings ect.

In the chat board there are a number of things NOT aloud. For ex.
-Pornography
- Swearing
- Mature Roleplaying (Cybering, Yiff, etc )
- Online Dating
- Religion
- Politics
- Harassing, flames, or insults towards another player.
All of the above are NEVER allowed on Silent Dawn

If you break any of these rules you will first be warned. Depending on what you do the more severe the warning/punishments will be. I can take away any privileges ect. away. So please take this seriously.

Summary of Rules
We do not tolerate language of any sort
We expect you to be friendly to everyone and not to criticize anyone.
If you plan on leaving the site, please PM either Xinn or shhdawn. They will take care of your characters. Do not just randomly become inactive please.
If you are not going to post for quite some time please contact either an admin, moderator, or the people you are currently in threads with.
Religion, politics, or anything of the sort is not welcome to be discussed here.
When posting in the RP boards, you must clarify when you are posting ic (in character) and ooc (out of character).
Respect all admins, moderators, and other members. If you have a dispute or problem with anyone on the site please PM an admin, don't bring it up in chat or any threads.
All posts must be appropriate, our rating is PG-13.
