Name: Asaku
Gender: Male
Age: 26 (human years)
Pack/Pride: None
Species: Lion (Panthera Leo)
Physical Description: Asaku has a large, muscular build but is surprisingly swift on his feet.
Eye color: Teal.
Main colors: Light tan colour.
Secondary colors: Slightly lighter than main main pelt.
Markings: Asaku has a large, mask-like marking on his face and along the bridge of his nose. He also has a dark brown mane.
Personality Description: Asaku often adopts the front of a flirtatious and cocky character but he is in fact a lot deeper than he lets on. A very loyal and caring male, he does his best to protect those he cares for, even if it endangers his life in the process. He's secretly a big softy, though he only lets those close to him see this side. His years of traveling and surviving without the benefit of a pride have made him strong and somewhat wise. He is known to be lost in thought at times. The male also has a firm belief in honour and dislikes sly and deceiving characters and those that are over-confident in their abilities when it is unfounded. He is not one to speak without thinking his words over carefully though in times of anger, he keeps less of a hold on his tongue and can be quick to use physical violence to solve a conflict that words can't. He also has a very strong dislike of hyenas and will often roar to shut up their laughing calls.
History of character: Asaku was cast out from his Father's pride due to his unusual marking. The old and superstitious members regarded as elders saw it as a bad omen that foretold the end of the Pride's existence, and after losing his brother, Asaku's father found it easy to desert one of his sons. Since then, Asaku has lived as a rogue, often getting into fights, mostly because of his habit of ignoring territory markers and hunting in an area owned by a pride.
Strengths: Strong, brave, protective, loyal, surprisingly fast, intelligent and thoughtful.
Weaknesses: Asaku is sometimes quick to anger and will fight to the death if necessary. He also has a habit of unintentionally causing conflict, either by trespassing or flirting with pride females. His quiet confidence has been known to unsettle other males of his species and lead to conflict. Asaku has a dislike of water, though he can swim quite well.
Likes: Watching the sunset/sunrise, being up high where he can see for long distances, Night time, stargazing, being relied on by others.
Dislikes: Water, hyenas, sly/wily characters, baboons (sometimes)

Role-play sample: 'Before the large cat had time to lick up the remaining water drops from his whiskers, a large splash startled him, causing him to jerk his head up. The fur along his muscular back stood up slightly as he stared, wide-eyed, at the black feline who was scrambling her way up the opposite bank. With a soft shake of his large head and mane, Asaku calmed himself before looking into the, now murky, water. The 'mask' of brown fur barely visible now as his reflection was shattered by the mud and small stones that had been kicked up and scattered across the water by the mysterious newcomer who was now grooming the water from her dark, silky coat. The large lion narrowed his eyes slightly and smiled softly before puffing out his chest and clearing his throat unnecessarily loudly to get the other's attention. He wasn't sure what her reaction to him would be, but the lone rogue had little to lose.'
