Walking through the brush at the darkness of night he adored. He was alone, and no one was usually out. He walked as if he owned the forest, he knew most of the forests ways, for he had grown up here and run away and had returned. His paws slowing every step he took. He looked at his surroundings, stars were out tonight. He liked the stars. As most liked the moon. He sat on his haunches thinking to himself. About his only sibling, his brother where he had no idea were he was. He remembered his pup days, rolling in the grass with his brother and looking at the stars. And then his parents would come and tell him to do something, he'd rather not do. He shooks his head back into the world he was now in. He couldn't think of his past, he had to forget it. For he was too good for his old family, and he knew it. He looked around, wondering how his life would have been if he had had love. His parents had never shown anyt sign of love, so he really didn't know how to understand the feeling. He shook himself out of it. Gosh, why did he have to be so..so he didn't know how to descirbe it. idiot... He thought to himself, no, he wasn't an idiot he was a monster, he didn't know how to love, he didn't know the signs of love. And he would never understand.

Jayden began to awake after his long rest during the evening. Nighttime was his favorite time to be up and about. It gave him an exciting thrill that he could never pass up. At 114 pounds Jayden was a large feline but rather fit for his breed, very fit indeed. His coat was a very yellow color and his eyes were teal, because of his pure-bred Amur Leopard lines he was the perfect showcase of what the breed should look like. Yet he was also very unique from any other cat that you would see out there. Not only was Jayden's appearance quite original, but his personality made him stick out of the crowd as he was not just like anyone else. He had a strange obsession with bells. He was exposed to jingle bells once in his life when he was young and never got over them since. Secretly, Jayden was not born into this world like the rest. But for now, that was a mystery to be unfolded as time goes on.

He sprang up, there was movement around him...He looked around slowly scanning the brush. Nothing, he couldn't see a thing. His eyes slowly moved to the trees and there was a large animal moving around. His mouth slowly curled into a snarl, what was it? Why was it here? his lips curled back, to show his large pearl white teeth. The hair on his back rose and his tail straightened in the air. It looked like a large bristle. He dug his paws into the ground, and waited for the animal to make the next move...he was the big one in this forest, he was in chage..and he wouldn't allow some stranger into it.

Jayden paused the moment he heard any movement that wasn't coming from him. His claws sprang out of his toes and dug into the ground beneath him. His ears laid back as he heard a faint snarling. The snarling didn't sound like an average cat's snarl. It was a snarl he had never heard before. Jayden spread his legs out and took a double take, looking side to side and his tail pointing straight out. His eyes narrowed and he flipped his body around to face the other way. He let out a menacing growl from low in his throat, whatever had announced its presence wasn't going to scare him. He wasn't afraid to fight and he was mighty good at defending himself.

He grunted, and cocked his head to the side. It wasn't a canine in his presemce, he could smell the stench of a feline. He scrunched his nose...disgusting... His tail went higher into the air. He was a large feline, even for big felines...larger than the rest he had encountered. But he was a large wolf, and was bigger built. His snarl turned into a playful grin. He was going to make a game. He had always loved games... He silently moved into the brush hidden by the darkness of the trees and watched the interesting cat. His tail went slowly back and forth in the air as a slight excited wag.

Jayden was getting irritated. He didn't have time to go looking for this annoying creature that seemed to be intimidated by his presence. Jayden looked to his left and saw that there was a tall tree with long branches. Why not take a nap right? He bent down close to the ground and swiftly leapt into the air while grasping onto the tree trunk. He quickly pulled himself up the tree and onto one of the long thick branches that he knew would hold his body weight. He now could see what was making the noise from the high view. There was a dog, a filthy mutt near him and he scuffed at the fact. First of all the mutt wasn't female, and second of all, the mutt was giving Jayden a bad vibe. He didn't feel comfortable with being on the ground when the dog had the advantage of scent. Although, Jayden knew that he would have the advantage in the fight. He could grip with his paws unlike the dog, and his claws were sharp and perfect for tearing flesh, that wasn't even considering the power of his jaws. So he wasn't worried, this mutt was on his own and a dog wasn't anything to be worried about unless the dog was with a pack. Which this 'smart guy' wasn't.

The feline leaped into a tree. He lost his interest completley. Apparently, the feline wasn't playing along. He shrugged and started to trot away. His tail at a slight wag. He didn't have time to chase a cat up a tree...but actually he had all time in his paws. His tongue dropped out of his mouth as he panted at a steady beat. He found the small den he had dug in the ground between a couple of boulders and settled himself in. There was nothing else to do. He wasn't really hungry and the feline he had only been with for a few minutes had lost interest in and he had become bored. So all there was to do was sleep. And he was totally fine with that.
